Immediate past president of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, has paid a visit to former military Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon (rtd).
Buhari visited Gowon at his London residence in the United Kingdom.
Bashir Ahmed, former presidential aide, disclosed this on his X handle on Saturday evening, where he also shared photos of the meeting.
Ahmed did not disclose the reason behind the meeting.
He did not also state when the meeting took place.
“Former President Muhammadu Buhari today, paid a visit to former Head of State, elder statesman, Gen. Yakubu Gowon (rtd) at his residence in London, United Kingdom,” he wrote.
Gowon was Head of State between 1966 to 1975.
Buhari, on the other hand, was Head of State between 1983-1985 and president between 2015-2023.
