23-year-old suspect, Ayomide Adeleye fingered in the abduction and murder of 300-level student of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, Ogun State, Christianah Idowu, has been handed over to the Lagos State Police by the Nigerian army.
Christianah was abducted by the suspect, Adeleye and his team, along the Ikorodu-Yaba Road, Lagos State, on Monday, August 19, 2024.
GWG.ng reports that the hand over of Adeleye to the police by the army was disclosed by the public relations officer of the Lagos State Police Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin on Thursday afternoon via a brief statement posted on his official X handle, @BenHundeyin.

Hundeyin tweeted, “23-year-old Ayomide Adeleye has been handed over to @Lagos PoliceNG by 9 Brigade @HQNigerian Army. The handover took place today, September 5, 2024, at about 1400hrs.
Hundeyin equally disclosed that the police have commenced Investigations into Christianah’s murder.
