BREAKING: Presidency Rebuts Reports About Lifting Of Visa Ban On Nigeria By UAE

THE Nigerian government has rebutted the story that the United Arab Emirates has lifted the visa ban on Nigerians.
The rebutal was a sequel to a document that did the rounds about midday on Tuesday.
The document, on the X handle of the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, said the lifting of the visa ban took effect from March 4, 2024.
A report by The Eagle Online said  that the story was an hoax from an unapproved source.
As of press time, senior officials of the Governments of Nigeria and UAE were repirtedly still working out the modalities for the lifting of the ban.
Confirming the development, Bayo Onanuga in a tweet on his X handle on Tuesday, said: “UAE has not resumed visa issuance to Nigerians.
“The document in circulation is not authorized either by the Nigerian government or the UAE.”
