THE Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mojisola Meranda, has debunked rumours doing the rounds that she has resigned from her position.
The rumour, which circulated online on February 19, 2025, was quickly dismissed by her Chief Press Secretary, Segun Ajiboye, who confirmed that Meranda remained in her office and at work as of the time of this publication.
A letter dated February 17, 2025, claiming her resignation had been widely shared, but it was later found to be unsigned and not officially released.
The news comes amid ongoing leadership issues within the Assembly, following the removal of the former Speaker, Mudashiru Obasa.
