THE embattled impeached deputy governor of Edo State, Mr. Philip Shaibu has announced that he has joined the All Progressive Congress, APC.
Shaibu made this declaration on Friday while fielding questions from Arise News crew of Reuben Abati, Rufai Oseni and Ayo Menron.
According to Shaibu,
“I already have my two legs in the APC it’s just that I have not officially declared”.
He made this assertion while defending his support for the APC gubernatorial candidate, Mr. Monday Okpebholo.
Shaibu has earlier told Abati that he was involved in anti party activities supporting Okpebholo while in the PDP because he was following the “footsteps of his mentor, Governor Godwin Obaseki”, but within a minutes changed his words to say he had actually joined the APC.
