APGA Chieftain Praises Court’s Sacking Of Ezeokenwa As Party National Chairman

A chieftain of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Abia, Chikwe Udensi, has lauded the judiciary for towing the path of honour and the law, by sacking Sly Ezeokenwa as the national chairman of the party.

A Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court sitting in Bwari, Abuja, had sacked Sly Ezeokenwa as the National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

 

In his judgement delivered Tuesday, Justice Mohammed Madugu had nullified all actions taken by Chief Victor Ikechukwu Oye since m the Supreme Court, in a March 24, 2023, judgement, deleted his name from APGA.

 

The apex court had also replaced Chief Oye’s name with that of Chief Edozie Njoku, who it affirmed as the authentic National Chairman of APGA.

The court ordered that all actions of Oye are unlawful, hence null and avoid.

 

Justice Madugu further ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to recognize Chief Njoku as the National Chairman of APGA in line with the Supreme Court judgement of March 24.

 

In a statement, Udensi said the new chairman of APGA Chief Njoku and other stalwarts of the party have welcomed the judgement voiding actions taken by Oye in the last election.

 

Udensi said to celebrate the court’s judgment, he hosted the National Chairman of APGA Chief Edozie Njoku, DNC APGA, Chief Freedom Okwuchukwu and Steve Nwadiuko to a victory dinner at his residence.
