THE All Progressives Congress (APC), Zamfara Chapter, on Friday described the death of Emir of Gusau, Alhaji Ibrahim Bello as a great loss.
This is contained in a statement issued on Friday in Gusau by the State Publicity Secretary of the party, Yusuf Idris.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the late emir passed away on Friday morning at a hospital in Abuja after a brief illness.
“It is with a heavy heart filled with sadness but with submission to the will of Allah that the Zamfara APC joins people of the state and other Nigerians to mourn the passing of late emir of Gusau.
“The state APC Chairman, Tukur Danfulani wishes to condole the Zamfara State Government, Gusau Emirate Council, the State Council of Chiefs, and the people of Zamfara over this great loss.
“Late Ibrahim Bello was a great leader, who carried along the good legacies of his parents in the development of the emirate and the state.
“He stood tall in the propagation of Islamic tenets and the defence human rights,” Idris said.
He said that the late emir would be remembered for all his leadership qualities, simplicity and as an ardent Muslim.
The APC spokesperson prayed to Almighty Allah to grant the bereaved family the fortitude to bear the loss and for God to grant the deceased AlJannatul Firdaus.
