Akeredolu Reacts To Reported Plot To Impeach Deputy, Agboola

The Governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu has finally reacted to reports that he plans to impeach his deputy governor, Agboola Ajayi, Newsextra24 has gathered.

Agboola and Akeredolu have been at daggers drawn which ultimately led to the defection of the former to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

On Tuesday, reports went viral on social media that Akeredolu had bribed lawmakers in the statehouse with N10 million each to ensure that they impeach Agboola.

In response to the development, Akeredolu described the reports as an attempt to “distract his administration”. He also described his deputy as a ‘sunken ship’.

“N10 Million for each house member? How! Is it possible? Yet another tactic to distract this administration. I will not waste state or personal resources on a sunken ship. Let God decide his fate.” He tweeted.
