2027: Adeleke rallies support for Tinubu

Gov. Ademola Adeleke of Osun has pledged to mobilise support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027, saying the president needs another four years to consolidate his administration’s economic reforms.

Adeleke made the pledge on Wednesday while speaking at the inauguration of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) at the State House, Abuja.

“We must give our father, the president of this nation, time for his reform to work. It’s not easy.

“Four years is not enough, that is why I’m here to throw my weight.”

The governor, who recently secured re-election on the platform of the Accord Party, expressed confidence in Tinubu’s chances of winning a second term, declaring that momentum was already building ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

“Nobody can stop this movement,” he told the gathering. “We’re going to sing; we’re going to dance all the way back to Aso Rock,” Adeleke said.

He urged political leaders and supporters to prioritise action over speeches, saying preparations for the campaign had already begun.

“We don’t have time. The work has begun. I’ve already started mine.

“Let us rise and make sure our president comes back for the second time,” he said.

Adeleke also urged Nigerians to continue praying for the president and other leaders, stressing that the country’s progress depended on their success.

“Continue praying for Mr President. If he succeeds, we all succeed. And I know by the special grace of God, we shall get there,” he said.

Newsextra24 reports that Adeleke was named coordinator of Tinubu’s campaign in Osun in a revised campaign council list released on Tuesday.

The list also named FCT Minister Nyesom Wike as coordinator for Rivers and the FCT, alongside Anambra Gov. Chukwuma Soludo.

At the inauguration, APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda described the gathering as a “rainbow coalition” of different political parties working together.

The APC is scheduled to flag off its presidential campaign in Kaduna on Oct. 24.
