2023: Hon.Sylvanus Igbogbo accedes to calls to run for Edo Central Senate seat

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Edo State, Hon.Sylvanus Igbogbo has yielded to several notices and moves by major stakeholders of the party and their followers in the state to get him to join the senatorial race for Edo Central in the 2023 general elections.
Hon. Igbogbo’s final acceptance to run for the Senate seat Plusreporter Nigeria gathered followed a visit Thursday, April 7, 2022, at his Abuja residence by the Edo Central APC Leaders of Thought to further convince him to accede to the call for him to join the senatorial race.
They placed on record the philanthropy of Hon.Sylvanus Igbogbo noting that from his antecedents he is someone the people of Edo Central can trust and hold accountable for his stewardship in the senate.
Hon. Sylvanus Igbogbo while accepting to contest the Edo Central Senatorial District seat said he was humbled by the pedigree of the APC leaders of thought who beckoned on him to throw in his hat for the contest in order to change the narrative in the representation of the district in the Red chamber.
Hon. Sylvanus Igbogbo noted that his passion has always been to have avenues through which he can offer effective and purposeful leadership to his people.
He pledged to consult widely in order to have the support of delegates to the APC senatorial primary to emerge as the party’s flag bearer in the 2023 general elections.
Hon. Sylvanus Igbogbo, a former Igueben LGA Chairman, said, “Giving the pedigree of the people I see here today, I want to say I have listened to your voice and I have accepted.
