TWO women, Oluwatoyin Bello and Anuoluwa Adeshina, were on Monday docked in an Ikorodu Chief Magistrates’ Court, Lagos, for allegedly conspiring among themselves to steal goods worth N2.85 million.
Bello, 35, and Adeshina, 32, whose addresses were not provide are facing a three-count charge bordering on conspiracy, forgery, and stealing.
They both pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against them.
The Prosecutor, ASP Aminu Isaac, said the offences were committed in April at Idera area of Ikorodu, Lagos State.
Isaac said the defendants forged receipts of 100 transactions of Joy sanitary pad, which summed up to N2.85 million property of Uniglory Industry Company.
He added the offences contravened Sections 411, 363 and 287 of the Lagos State Criminal Law, 2015.
The Chief Magistrate, B. A. Sonuga, granted the defendants bail in the sum of N500, 000 each, with two sureties in like sum.
He adjourned the case until June 26 for further mention.
